Perfume Review: Summer Essence, David Yurman

www.DavidYurman.com
David Yurman Summer Essence (May 2012 Launch, Limited Edition)

This elegant lilac hued bottle is an apt exterior for an inner essence of grace, modernity and chick - all with a graceful sophistication. This is a perfect scent for spring summer and whereas it has wonderful fruity accords: Nashi Pear, Apple Blossom, Peach Nectar, tiered to florals including White Muguet, Hyacinth and Orchid petals, on a base of Amber, white musk and sandalwood. There is something pleasing about such familiar scents, in floral and sweet notes and yet aside from the Peach Nectar, none stand out. Instead they fan or waft a delicate fusion, the florals are cool (versus too sweet) and tone now the fruit bowl just so. The result is somehow cooling and it works well as a scent to wear from daytime to early evening, even on the most humid of summer nights.

In addition to Summer Essence, the range includes Exotic Essence, a modern sensual Oriental, Deliate Essence , a light and modern floral, and Fresh Essence, a fruity floral with touches of green.
