Remember the old TV show Fat Albert? Have you seen the new movie version?
Hey, hey, hey! These are colossal bars, chocka-full-of-good things, decadent bars that Fat Albert would approve of. Eat one as a treat; eat two and you will become Fat Albert. This is essentially a swirly mix of blondie batter and a deep fudge brownie batter that is the ‘glue’ for a lot of good things. It is chunky and hunk and good. They freeze perfectly. The dates, raisins, and marshmallows all offer their own brand of chewiness in the finished bars; the nuts become extra buttery somehow. Each bite is an experience of caramel batter, fudge, and no end of goodies that all entice in different ways of texture and taste.
