We tend to forget how good a great baked apple can be.. The trick is to use Black Bear Fruit Co. Raspberry Syrup, available from www.CanadianFavourites.com. Serve these in Pyrex or diner style greenware. Black Bear Fruit Co. is in the gorgeous Okanagan Valley in beautiful British Columbia Canada. Most people would pour this syrup over pancakes but when you douse McIntosh apples with them before baking, the syrup naturally sweetens the apples just so and brings a light blush to their cheeks.
