Pizza Blanca Sauce
This sauce does double duty on fettuccini for a quick Alfredo, or combine it with marinara sauce for a "rosa" or mellow, creamy pasta topping.
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup parmesan or shredded Havarti cheese
Heat margarine and stir in flour. Mix up to slightly cook flour. Slowly whisk in milk, adding gradually to make a sauce.
Stir in spices and cheese.
